Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Court Team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping futures and making meaningful change in children's lives.
This is a career-graded role, offering a market premium of £2,750 per annum in addition to the salary.
About the RoleAs a Social Worker in our Court Team, you'll work closely with children, families, schools, and professionals to ensure the unique needs of each child are met.

Main Responsibilities- Provide targeted and specialist social work services for children and young people in need of support, protection, and care.
- Undertake assessments in line with local thresholds, analysing children's needs, risks, and family circumstances.
- Promote the safety and wellbeing of children, ensuring their rights and entitlements are upheld.
- Build strong relationships with children to understand their lived experiences and wishes.
- Work collaboratively with parents/carers and multi-disciplinary professionals to develop and deliver support and protection plans.
- Liaise with Legal Services and represent the local authority in court as needed.
- Monitor the effectiveness of care plans and ensure ongoing support meets children's needs and circumstances.
- Maintain accurate records in line with best practice standards and local procedures.
- Contribute to team duties, cover for colleagues, and escalate concerns to senior management when required.
