Speech and Language Therapist in Stroke Care

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Stroke Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, providing specialist care to adults with stroke-related communication needs. Based at our Lanyon Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services, supporting patients to achieve optimal communication outcomes. As part of our NHS community and mental health provider Trust, you will benefit from a supportive working environment, professional development opportunities, and a competitive salary of approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised communication plans for stroke patients
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for patients
- Conduct assessments to identify communication needs and provide tailored interventions to address these needs
- Educate patients, families, and carers on communication strategies and techniques
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
