Job Title: Environmental Restoration Specialist

Riverlution, a Community Interest Company, is seeking an Environmental Restoration Specialist to join its team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on upland restoration projects and waterway maintenance contracts, contributing to the improvement of river and riparian habitats.

The successful candidate will work towards a Level 4 Countryside Ranger Apprenticeship Standard, developing skills in project management, team leadership, and client liaison.

The role involves supervising and working within a team to deliver projects, planning work days, and managing subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work in a team, and possess patience.

The estimated salary for this position is around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and/or work within a team to deliver upland restoration projects and waterway maintenance contracts.
  • Plan work days, including liaising with clients and managing subcontractors.
  • Ensure the health and safety of employees and others during work-related activities.
  • Develop relationships with organizations, riparian owners, community groups, and residents involved in or near the regions' waterways.
