We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to support our finance team at Solid State Logic. As a senior finance specialist, you will be responsible for managing complex financial transactions, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights to inform business decisions. Your primary duties will include managing cash transactions, accounts receivable and payable, ad hoc tasks, financial analysis, reporting, VAT compliance, payroll administration, and additional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Transaction Management:
    • Record and post receipts, make payments, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Analyze financial data, prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and overhead variance analysis.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare trial balances, submit US Subsidiary Management Accounts, and maintain the Fixed Asset register.
  • VAT Compliance:
    • Submit monthly VAT returns and quarterly VATMOSS submissions.
  • Payroll Administration:
    • Use SAGE Payroll to prepare payroll and maintain related cost centers.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Process and reconcile sales, including webshop, third-party platform, and distributor software sales.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of financial principles and practices.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and VBA.
  • Experience with ERP-based accounting systems, preferably EPICOR.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on experience.
