Compliance Business Analyst Opportunity

Coopman Search and Selection, a Certified B Corporation, is partnering with a top-tier global hedge fund to find a skilled Compliance Business Analyst. This role is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret relevant financial regulations, such as MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and GDPR, to develop actionable business requirements.
  • Collaborate with trading, risk, compliance, and technology teams to assess current compliance processes, identify gaps, and suggest improvements.
  • Develop compliance reports, conduct data analysis, and flag potential risks to ensure the firm's trading strategies adhere to regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead and participate in compliance-related projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of solutions that align with regulatory mandates.
  • Liaise with legal, risk management, IT, and trading desks to implement regulatory changes, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of compliance processes and assist in developing and delivering compliance training to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or business analyst role within financial services, preferably in a hedge fund, asset management, or trading environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and their application within a trading environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets and varied asset classes.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the capability to lead and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in handling large data sets. Knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex regulatory information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
