Ares Management Corporation is a leading global alternative investment manager seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented team player to join its Corporate Strategy Group as a Strategic Associate.

Role Overview

The Corporate Strategy Group is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth and expansion for Ares Management Corporation. As a Strategic Associate, you will provide critical support to the team in identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, developing financial models, and preparing investment committee memos and board presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial and market analysis to inform investment decisions
  • Develop complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities
  • Screen new investment opportunities and prepare due diligence reports
  • Prepare investment committee memos and board presentations to communicate investment recommendations
  • Monitor and analyze investment performance, including maintaining and updating financial models
  • Assist in investment closings and integrations
  • Meet with management teams and sponsors to assess new investment opportunities and monitor existing investments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-4 years of relevant investment banking, principal investing, or transaction services experience, preferably in asset management/financial services
  • Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness, with the ability to handle sensitive information
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical skills and ability to work well with limited supervision
  • Private equity calibre drive and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
