Geophysical Engineering Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership position as a Geophysical Engineer In Charge with Boskalis, a world-leading company in the field of offshore geophysical surveys.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our engineering team in the safe operation and acquisition of geophysical survey equipment and data. As Geophysical Engineer In Charge, you will be responsible for providing a proactive and comprehensive service to effectively support the needs of the geophysical engineering department, both onboard company vessels and at Company HQ.
Responsibilities- Lead and co-ordinate the engineering team to ensure high standards of work are maintained.
- Ensure all geophysical engineering equipment is tested, calibrated, and properly maintained.
- Develop and operate effective engineering and administrative processes to support the work of the geophysical department.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of data acquired during surveys.
- Attend toolbox meetings and participate in ongoing training and development.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in relevant engineering disciplines, such as electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, data communications, or IT infrastructure.
- Broad knowledge of geophysical and seismic operations.
- A proven track record of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to problem-solve using initiative and creativity.
- Fluent spoken and written English, including technical language.
- High level IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to pass ENG-1 and STCW-95 (or recognised equivalent).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
