Job Overview:

This position involves conducting initial safeguarding enquiries and s42 investigations to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising the public, partner agencies, and regulated care providers on safeguarding concerns.
  • Completing home visits and safeguarding assessments, producing comprehensive reports detailing findings.
  • Liaising with other professionals to coordinate case management and ensure effective outcomes.
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation to maintain compliance and best practice.
  • Holding cases and monitoring progress to inform timely intervention.
  • Collaborating with individuals at risk and those who have caused harm to address underlying issues.
  • Attending multidisciplinary meetings to share knowledge and coordinate efforts.
  • Referring individuals to relevant agencies for support when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Post-qualifying experience working as a Neighbourhood Team Social Worker or within a Locality Team.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry.
  • An Enhanced DBS/CRB.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
