We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Project Manager to join our team at Hays Technology in the West Midlands. As a key member of our project management team, you will assist established Project Managers in delivering contracts from handover to final acceptance.

The successful candidate will have a strong communicator with a positive attitude and a team player. They will be self-motivated and able to drive own tasks, with excellent attention to detail and quality and process oriented. A full driving license is required, and good quality report writing skills and general computer skills are essential.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Worcestershire area, with travelling required to customer locations across the UK. The salary is £25,000 - £35,000 p/a depending on experience, and on-site working with flexibility to work from home when not needed on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist established Project Managers in delivering contracts from handover to final acceptance.
  • Support the Project Manager with contracts to ensure they are completed within time, specification and budget.
  • Sole responsibility for contracts to support the department and individual development.
  • Helping to ensure that key objectives are achieved.
  • Assist the project team with planning and delivery of ongoing projects.
  • Report on contracts as required by the project reporting processes and tools.
  • Maintain harmonious relationships with customers, subcontractors and company staff.
  • Develop good working relationships.
  • Attend, contribute to, and when required call meetings as required to effectively manage contracts.
  • Provide feedback to the project manager on status and support areas of the business where necessary to keep project milestones on-track.
  • Provide a flexible approach to meeting reasonable business goals.
  • Support activities at customer facilities when required during the course of the project.
  • Support the management of risk and opportunities.
  • Provide ad hoc Senior Project team assistance tasks including data collation and assessment, scanning and filing.

Requirements:

  • HND or higher qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in an equivalent environment.
  • A strong communicator with a positive attitude and a team player.
  • Self-motivated and able to drive own tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Quality and process oriented.
  • Able to multi task and prioritise.
  • Full driving license required.
  • Good quality report writing skills.
  • Good general computer skills e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
