Job Title: Reconciliations / Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team at Echo House Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable and payable.
  • Reconcile month-end accounts and ensure all invoices are paid in full and on time.
  • Manage client ledgers, including credit control, issuing client invoices and statements, and responding to client queries.
  • Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports and financial information as required.
  • Support the Accounts Manager and Finance Director in the on-boarding process of new clients, including credit checks and Sage ledger set up.
  • Audit draft invoices to ensure they meet all necessary criteria, including application of VAT, nominal ledger details, and purchase orders.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of accounts receivable procedures and reconciliation of month-end accounts.
  • Experience with client ledgers, specifically in credit control, issuing client invoices and statements, and responding to client queries.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
  • AAT qualifications or similar.
