Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at a luxury care home in Thames Ditton, Surrey. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing a variety of meals that are appealing, nutritious, and tailored to residents' preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning schedules to ensure the kitchen meets the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service delivery and high-quality food presentation.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with alternate weekend work required. You will have the opportunity to work in a 78-bedded residential and nursing home, with a focus on providing high-quality food and excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a care home kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
