NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Specialist Nurse to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Team in Renfrewshire.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and Allied Health Professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and providing interventions and treatment to children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide interventions and treatment to children and young people with mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • First Level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with NMC Registration
  • Relevant post-registration experience of working with children and young people with mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
