Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team on a bank basis at Ross Hall Clinic Braehead in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to work on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

About the Role:

This role will involve working closely with both medical and surgical oncologists, preparing and maintaining clinical records of patient care, and conducting yourself professionally within the standards and framework provided by the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) codes of professional conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing post-operative care and breast care services
  • Understanding workload and shift management
  • Preparing and maintaining clinical records of patient care
  • Conducting yourself professionally within NMC and HCPC guidelines

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant competencies, including surgical oncology experience, a breast care course/module, and a patient and caring approach to customer care. You should also have a strong understanding of workload and shift management, as well as excellent communication skills.
