**Role Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Maori Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering mental health services and a strong understanding of kaupapa Maori principles. A current practising certificate and registration are essential for this role.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Providing effective care management and key work based on kaupapa Maori principles.
  • Working with community for the benefit of tangata whaiora and their whanau.
  • Ensuring optimal engagement with our Maori clients and whanau.
  • Developing and facilitating groups for clients and whanau as needed.
  • Supporting the team in delivering a service based on matauranga Maori.

**About Our Team**

The Early Intervention Service is a multi-disciplinary team that offers assessment and treatment to young people (13-25) who are experiencing psychosis for the first time. We aim to provide a bicultural, client-centred, strengths-based, and collaborative support programme.

The team regularly evaluates our outcomes, allowing us to continuously adjust, improve, and innovate our services. We offer clinical supervision, career pathway support, cultural interventions, and ongoing training to ensure your professional growth and development.

**What You'll Need**

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in delivering mental health services.
  • A current practising certificate and registration.
  • A full driver's licence.

**Salary and Benefits**

The estimated salary for this role is $NZD 65,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive employee assistance programme.
