About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead our Sustainable Transport programme, driving its delivery and ensuring alignment with business cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage the Programme Management function for Sustainable Transport.
  • Develop and implement programme controls and reporting for the Sustainable Transport Delivery Programme.
  • Manage programme scope, risk & issue, change, assurance, and compliance in accordance with established governance and assurance processes.
  • Set and measure key performance targets to optimise delivery performance.
  • Lead on procurement strategies and tender documentation, including pre-construction information and construction contractor appointment documentation.
Requirements
  • Significant highways/transport industry project and programme management experience.
  • Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams and building strong relationships across all partners and stakeholders.
  • Senior line management experience.
  • Experience of integrating and delivering alongside other modes and disciplines particularly rail, bus, metro, and active travel works.
  • Experience of managing and monitoring capital budgets.
  • Experience of contract management through the procurement and management of suppliers.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, paid annual leave, ethical saving options, and more.

Hybrid Working and Location

This role is based in Summer Lane, with flexibility to work from home or in the office.
