Job Opportunity: Children's Home Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Residential Children's Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a children's home, ensuring that all Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) children receive the necessary support as they begin their resettlement journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices and coordinating staff to provide comprehensive support to UAS children.
  • Ensure the daily operations of the children's home run smoothly, providing a safe and supportive environment for children.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the well-being and development of UAS children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a holistic approach to supporting UAS children.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services provided to UAS children.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a Children's Residential setting, preferably at Team Leader/Manager level.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, promoting a culture of excellence and best practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
