About the Role
Elysium Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Felbrigg House, a specialist service for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee the smooth running of a shift, ensuring the wellbeing of all service users.
- Respond to any challenges or concerns and supervise support staff.
- Organize activities, administer medication, communicate with families and professionals, oversee daily reports, budgets, complete financial audits, and complete H&S checks.
- Deal with challenging behaviors and have a positive and professional approach.
- Be reliable, flexible, hard-working, and honest.
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Support Worker or extensive care experience from a learning disability and autism residential setting.
- Leadership skills and experience.
- Strong empathy and a caring and compassionate nature.
- Willingness to support residents with personal hygiene.
- Excellent people and communication skills, and a good sense of humor.
