We are GenesisCare UK, the leading provider of private oncology services in the UK, pioneering a transformation in cancer care. We are seeking an exceptional Oncology Exercise Medicine Team Manager to join our team at our state-of-the-art cancer care centre in Elstree.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients. As an Oncology Exercise Medicine Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the exercise clinic, ensuring risk assessments are completed, and providing clinical supervision and support to the Exercise Clinic Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience or equivalent clinical experience at a Band 6 level, working predominately with patients in oncology. They will also have experience of teaching and supervising less experienced staff, demonstrated ability to work autonomously, and use their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the exercise clinic and ensure risk assessments are completed for all patients
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to the Exercise Clinic Assistant
  • Responsible for accurate data collection and ensure that all patient documentation is updated in a timely manner, in accordance with HCPC standards of proficiency and GCUK policy
  • Collate and present data about the service, using data to recommend improvements and service development
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience or equivalent clinical experience at a Band 6 level, working predominately with patients in oncology
  • Experience of teaching and supervising less experienced staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and use own initiative
  • Motivational Interviewing/Behaviour Change training
  • Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
  • Experience of clinical audit and/or research
  • Evidence of active involvement in service development & contribution to change within the workplace
  • Evidence of advanced clinical reasoning and the management of complex cases
  • Evidence of understanding the skills required for service development and evaluation
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to a range of audiences e.g. patients, carers and other professionals
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and that of others and effective time management
  • Experience of working effectively and efficiently as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and audit programmes in line with requirements for Clinical Governance
  • Ability to demonstrate self-direction in thought and practice
  • Knowledge of research and development process
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £60,000 per annum, plus benefits including 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the option to buy more or sell back annual leave.
