Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Nurse to join our team as a Special Care Coordinator. As a key member of the Neonatal Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality care is delivered to babies and families.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating care, capacity, and flow across Special Care and Transitional Care units, collaborating with the nurse in charge of the Neonatal unit. You will ensure that care is delivered in line with policies and procedures, maintaining safe practice to protect vulnerable babies and families.

In this role, you will demonstrate positive role modeling, provide support, teaching, and pastoral care to enable staff to develop and perform within their scope of practice. You will also provide supervision during clinical ward rounds, ensuring key information is transferred and required care is planned.
