Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Powertrain and Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Mahindra Formula E Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing powertrain related control systems, collaborating with other departments, and analyzing data to improve performance.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement powertrain related control systems using modern control design techniques.
  • Work closely with the powertrain manufacturer to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Collaborate with the Simulation department to conduct complex investigations and analyze results.
  • Implement control software for the ECU environment and ensure it meets required standards.
  • Document and communicate new control strategies to relevant departments.

Essential Requirements:

  • Masters or PhD in Electrical Machines and Control Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Machines, Control Systems, and Performance, including Field Oriented Control and power electronics losses.
  • Proven experience working with Matlab and Simulink, as well as tools like MCT, Atlas, and System Monitor.

  • An estimated annual salary of £90,000 - £140,000, depending on experience.
