About Us

Mahindra Formula E Team is seeking a senior Powertrain and Control Systems Engineer to join our team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the success of our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing powertrain related control systems and analysis tools. This will involve research and development of new control strategies, specification and peer review of new control strategies, and implementation of control software for the ECU environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop powertrain related control systems and analysis tools.
  2. Research and develop new control strategies based on modern control design techniques.
  3. Liaise with powertrain manufacturer, report and feedback potential improvements on both hardware and software.
  4. Specify and peer review new control strategies with the Control Systems department.
  5. Collaborate with the Simulation department to carry out more complex investigations.
  6. Implement control software for the ECU environment.
  7. Test, calibrate and validate software using DIL or HIL.
  8. Document and communicate new control strategies to relevant departments.

Requirements

  1. Masters or PhD in Electrical Machines and Control Systems; however, experience and proven track record will be considered.
  2. Excellent understanding of Electrical Machines, Control Systems and Performance, specifically Field Oriented Control, switching and modulation strategies, and power electronics losses.
  3. Experienced working with Matlab and Simulink.
  4. Experienced working with MAT tools such as MCT, Atlas, System Monitor.
