Wheelbase Lakeland Limited is a leading premium cycle retailer with a head office and eCommerce division based in the Lake District and stores in the North East and Yorkshire.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Retail Merchandiser to join our team at our Lake District head office. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for range planning and monitoring performance of Parts, Accessories and Clothing (PAC) from our industry leading cycling brands.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage product ranges to ensure they appear in the right store and website, at the right time, in the right quantities and replenishment monitored.
- Meet with suppliers to negotiate best cost prices, order stock, agree timescales and delivery dates, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Communicate product range plans to our Visual Merchandiser, Retail, Stock and eCommerce teams.
- Work with the Finance Director to forecast profits, sales and plan budgets to control stock levels.
- Analyse sales data and report on product performance at weekly Buying and Merchandising meetings.
- Plan promotions with the Marketing team and issue markdowns.
- Maintain awareness of competitors' performance and cycle market trends.
- Previous experience in merchandising and/or retail/business management.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers.

This is a full-time role, working 30pm, Monday to Friday. However, flexible/longer working hours may be required from time to time. The role is office based with a balance between independent work and regular team contact.
