Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Retail Merchandiser to join our team at our Lake District head office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for range planning and monitoring the performance of Parts, Accessories, and Clothing (PAC) from our industry-leading cycling brands.
Your role will involve ensuring that these products are displayed in the right stores and on our website at the right time, in the right quantities, and with regular replenishment monitoring. You will play a crucial role in maximizing profits by setting prices, managing performance, and planning promotions and markdowns.
Key Responsibilities- Plan product ranges and prepare sales and stock plans.
- Meet with suppliers to negotiate best cost prices, order stock, agree on timescales and delivery dates, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Communicate product range plans to our Visual Merchandiser, Retail, Stock, and eCommerce teams.
- Work with the Finance Director to forecast profits, sales, and plan budgets to control stock levels.
- Maintain a comprehensive portfolio of range plan data.
- Analyze previous season's sales and report on current season's lines at a weekly Buying and Merchandising meeting.
- Analyze bestsellers and slow sellers, plan promotions with the Marketing team, and issue markdowns.
- Maintain awareness of competitors' performance and cycle market trends.
- Previous experience in merchandising and/or retail/business management.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers.
- Salary £35,000+, based on experience.
