We are seeking an experienced Psychological Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the development of pathways within Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health, with ample opportunity for continued professional development.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly and supportive group of Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Psychologists working across various services. The psychology team have close connections with other psychological professionals within the healthcare sector.

Main Duties:
  • To provide comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based individual or group-based interventions to women and their families accessing the service.
  • To support, supervise and guide less experienced team members in providing high-quality care and therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical work involving moderate to severe mental health difficulties within the perinatal period (from positive pregnancy test up until 2 years postnatal) or families experiencing mental health difficulties arising from or directly related to their maternity experience.
  • To work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) providing clinical time to both the perinatal and maternal mental health pathways of the service.

Person Specification:
  • A qualification in relevant core mental health professional training.
