Join our dedicated team at The Forum School as a Teaching Assistant and play a vital role in helping children learn and develop skills for life. Our innovative educational experiences and national curriculum programmes are designed to support the unique needs of each young person, and our passionate teams of specialists and key workers are committed to enabling each child to achieve their personal best.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and tutors to support students in accessing a specifically designed curriculum through group learning and individual learning programmes. Your main focus will be to:

  • Support students to focus and make progress in lessons
  • Assist the teacher/tutor in the preparation of work
  • Support students during school-based and community-based learning
  • Ensure students make progress in formal learning situations as well as with self-help skills, life skills, and social understanding

We are looking for individuals who possess a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential), knowledge of Autism and/or Special Educational Needs, and well-developed organisation and communication skills. Ability to work flexibly and be a good team player are also essential. Experience is not essential, as we will provide all the necessary training and support.
