Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Blandford Forum

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special school in Blandford Forum. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Education Needs (SEN) and/or mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with emotional and behavioral challenges, using positive behavior management techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting pupils.

Requirements:

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of Autism (ASC) and experience in supporting individuals with SEN. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, using your initiative and problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our pupils.
