About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at GSL Education in Blandford. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to students with disabilities, helping to improve their well-being and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with students with disabilities, providing support with daily school activities.
  • Follow individual care plans and lesson plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of the students.
  • Create an inclusive and respectful environment that encourages independence and dignity.
  • Team up with teachers and staff to provide complete, well-rounded support.
  • Keep clear and detailed records of students' progress and activities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker or similar role is helpful.
  • Knowledge of different disabilities and how to support them effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion and patience when helping students with various needs.
  • Ability to adjust to the changing needs of individuals with disabilities.
