Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing site investigations, groundwater and gas monitoring, soil and rock logging, and communicating with clients.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work on a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical projects. You will have the chance to work with a niche team, providing innovative and varied projects with opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
As a Geotechnical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing site investigations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Conducting groundwater and gas monitoring to assess site conditions
- Logging and analyzing soil and rock samples to inform project decisions
- Communicating with clients to provide updates and recommendations
- Mentoring junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge
- Preparing and submitting factual and interpretive reports to stakeholders
Requirements
To be considered for this Geotechnical Engineer position, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant subject, such as geology, earth sciences, or civil engineering
- Experience in the geotechnical industry as an engineer or consultant
- A Full UK Driving Licence, as travel to sites will be frequent
- Full right to work in the UK and live commutable to Aylesbury
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Chartership or working towards chartership
