Geotechnical Engineer
Job Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment.
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000.
We are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work on a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical projects. Our client, a niche Environmental Consultancy based near Aylesbury, is looking for an experienced professional to expand their skills and contribute to the success of their team.
The successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities, including:
- Overseeing site investigations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Groundwater and gas monitoring to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Soil and rock logging to inform project decisions.
- Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
- Mentoring junior team members to develop their skills and expertise.
- Preparing and presenting factual and interpretive reports to stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, you should have a degree in a relevant subject, such as geology, earth sciences, or civil engineering. Experience in the geotechnical industry as an engineer or consultant is essential, as well as a Full UK Driving Licence, as travel to sites will be frequent. You must also have full right to work in the UK and live commutable to Aylesbury. You should have good communication skills, an ability to work within a team, and be/working towards chartership.
