Senior Data Analyst

The CHIS Team Leader will be a key member of the Child Health Information Services (CHIS) Team, directly reporting to the CHIS Coordinators. The post holder will take part in the day-to-day running of the CHIS service, ensuring that CHIS data held on the system is accurate and up-to-date.
The North Yorkshire and York cohort is large, comprising all children aged 0-19 who live in the locality, are registered with a GP in the locality, or attend school in the locality.
The purpose of CHIS is to ensure that each child in England has an accurate active record supporting delivery of public health interventions, including screening and childhood and adolescent immunisations.
Main Duties of the JobThe CHIS Team Leader will be responsible for managing data and statistical information that supports the provision of services for children and young people aged 0-19. This includes notifications of new births and babies moving in and out of the area, requesting records, and updating the child health system with movements in and out.
CHIS links with Maternity services to receive initial birth details and NHS numbers and provides a central repository and failsafe for the Newborn Blood Spot Screening Programme. The post holder will also support the local delivery of the national Antenatal and New Born Screening and Immunisation Programmes.
In addition to the above, the post holder will support the gathering of information and compilation of reports required for statutory returns, ensuring set deadlines are met.
The post holder will also be responsible for manipulating large data files in preparation for bulk uploading onto CHIS SystmOne Unit, for example, immunisations data.
Be able to run reports and complete the subsequent exception reports.
