About the Role

Hymans Robertson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pensions Administrator to join our Client Services team in Edinburgh or London. As a key member of our Third Party Administration (TPA) department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality administration services to our clients and members.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update member records accurately and efficiently.
  • Process member events, including retirements, deaths, early leavers, transfers in, transfers out, and illustrative quotations.
  • Act as a point of reference for technical issues and non-standard cases.
  • Escalate complex technical queries and issues to the Team Leader and technical support team members.
  • Provide a consistent and efficient service to internal and external clients/members, adhering to agreed service levels.
  • Work with the Principal Administrator and Team Leader to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Manage annual and periodic scheme events.
  • Coach and assist less experienced administrators in developing their experience and confidence.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in day-to-day pension administration, including DB, DC, and CARE pension arrangements.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the UK Pensions Market, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant pension legislation, technical developments affecting pension administration, and industry best practice.
  • Experience with Pensions Administration systems, such as UPM or similar.
  • Experience in client care or customer services, with the ability to liaise with clients effectively and confidently over the telephone.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and plan and organize your workload effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated through clear and concise communications with clients, members, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and lead by example, including aiding in the coaching and development of junior colleagues.
