Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled Project Officer to join its Client and Contract Team. This role will involve overseeing essential highways projects, coordinating contractor communications, and enhancing service performance.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid way, dividing their time between working from Lancaster House in Lincoln and working remotely. Occasional travel to other offices and depots may be required, so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver a variety of highways projects using project management best practice.
  • To engage with colleagues across the service and our partner contractors to manage highways tenders throughout their lifecycle.
  • To support the performance management of the highways service and the partner contractors, including data analysis, process mapping, and delivering training to drive performance improvements.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. They will also have experience of working in a similar role or have relevant qualifications such as a degree in a related field.
