About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment to join our team at Hays Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and maintaining a robust SHEQ performance regime company-wide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of SHEQ performance, ensuring continuous improvement to our in-house standards, systems, and procedures.
  • Implement legislative compliance and best practices across the teams.
  • Shape company strategy and ensure we are a leader in SHEQ in the industry.
  • Embody and champion our values of People, Innovation, Partnership, and Efficiency.
  • Work to ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards, as well as relevant regional legislation and standards.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • ISO Internal Auditor (desirable).
  • 10 years' experience in an operational SHEQ role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior SHEQ/Quality role.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of applicable ISO and/or OSHA standards.
  • Full understanding of legal HSE policy and guidelines.
  • Strategically minded and hands-on leader approach.
