**Job Description:** Primary Care Support Specialist

About Us

We are a dynamic team within the NHS, committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled Primary Care Support Specialist to join our team.

This role involves working closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide support with administrative tasks and basic clinical duties.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and respond to patient emails, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  2. Extract relevant information from clinical letters and update patient records accordingly.
  3. Perform basic clinical procedures, including dipping urine, taking blood pressure, and performing ECGs.
  4. Assist with completing basic forms, such as insurance forms and benefits agency forms.
  5. Support the GP with immunizations and wound care.
Requirements
  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience working in primary care.
  • Knowledge of EMIS web clinical systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
