About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Manager to join our team at Torus Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of fire safety and compliance across our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fire Safety Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure fire safety and compliance across our properties.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all fire safety policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Fire Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough fire risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive fire safety training program for staff, ensuring they are equipped to manage fire safety risks effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Building Safety Manager, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration on fire safety matters.
  • Monitoring and Auditing: Conduct regular monitoring and auditing of fire safety systems and procedures to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on fire safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: HNC/D in a Building-related subject or qualified by experience, Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent qualification/experience, and GCSE or equivalent standard in Maths and English.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience of managing fire safety and compliance at a senior level, with experience within a social housing environment desirable.
  • Skills: Sound understanding of fire safety legislation, associated technical standards and codes of practice, and applied management of fire safety.
