This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team at EY, where you will play a key part in helping our clients navigate the complex world of financial crime regulation.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Financial Crime Consulting team, where you will work closely with our clients to identify and mitigate financial crime risks. As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing clients' Anti Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) and Countering Proliferation Financing (CPF) systems and controls against regulatory requirements, expectations and industry practices.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead engagements to assess clients' financial crime controls and operating models, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with our clients to develop and implement innovative solutions to address complex financial crime risks and issues.
  • Provide input into the development of detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support client bids and business development opportunities.
  • Contribute to developing EY's financial crime solutions, campaigns and go-to-market activities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of UK and EU AML and sanctions regulations and how to apply for identifying and mitigating financial crime risks.
  • Knowledge of regulatory landscape and expectations and industry best practice.
  • A clear understanding of the strategic implications of global financial crime regulation.
  • Skilled at building relationships with colleagues across the business, supporting them and promoting a collaborative culture.
  • A background in change or transformational projects.
  • Learning agility, being quick to learn and apply new knowledge and skills, and willing to continuously develop professionally.
  • Comfortable with change and able to adjust strategies and approaches in dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in time management, and proficient at managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently to meet deadlines.
