Functional Area: Procurement

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support our operational sites by purchasing services and spare parts. As a key member of our Offshore Procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our wind farms.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement experience and a keen interest in progressing in this area. You will have the chance to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, prepare tender documents, and evaluate suppliers.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with site staff to meet contractual needs and encourage early procurement involvement
  • Preparing tender documents, issuing tenders, and carrying out tender evaluations as needed
  • Preparing approval and confirmation award documentation to support contract award decisions and place contracts with successful suppliers
  • Managing vendor invoices and providing query support for purchase orders
  • Using RWE systems for supplier qualification, conducting tender processes, and day-to-day procurement activities
  • Developing and maintaining ongoing supplier relationship management with suppliers
  • Maintaining key performance indicators and supplier performance under individual contracts
  • Developing and maintaining procurement/project/contract records
  • Providing general commercial support to the team
  • Understanding and applying agreed contract terms and conditions
  • Advising and supporting on procurement methods/strategies and identifying supply chain risks

Requirements:

  • Experience in buying goods and/or services previously
  • Some exposure to Material Management Systems, preferably SAP S4 HANA, and a willingness to learn new software applications
  • MCIPS member or studying to become a MCIPS accredited member would be advantageous
  • Experience and/or understanding of wind farms operations advantageous
  • Ability to effectively understand commercial risks to minimize impacts on the project
  • Experienced in building relationships
  • Self-motivation and ability to deliver on commitments
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support delivery of procurement activities
  • Effective communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Flexible and pragmatic with a good work ethic
