Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Pathway Coordinator to join our Endoscopy Department Administrative Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Book endoscopy procedures within patient clinical wait times and priority order, meeting daily team targets.
  • Add incoming referrals to the waiting list on EPR within hours and pass for clinical triage where necessary.
  • Schedule endoscopy admissions on EPR, assigning appointment dates appropriately in accordance with clinical priority and waiting times.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all relevant arrangements are in place ahead of admissions.
  • Monitor planned surveillance patients to avoid delays in treatment.
  • Validate the patient tracking list on a daily basis and attend weekly meetings to ensure action is taken on discussed items.
  • Share responsibilities of different systems within Endoscopy with the wider admin team.
  • Liaise with and book appointments for patients requiring an endoscopy via various routes.
