About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at NHS Professionals Limited. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological assessment and therapy to older adults in a community setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of older adults to identify mental health needs and develop treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychological therapies to individuals and groups, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation and advice on psychological issues.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including clinical psychology trainees.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology from a UK-based university.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Experience of working in a community mental health setting, preferably with older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
