We are seeking an exceptional Medical Director to lead our Emergency Medicine team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a talented consultant with expertise in Emergency Medicine. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and clinical expertise to our Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality patient care and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of Emergency Medicine services, ensuring compliance with trust policies and national standards
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient flow, reducing waiting times and improving patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimize resource allocation
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, using data-driven insights to drive change and enhance patient safety
  • Support the development of junior staff, providing mentorship and coaching to ensure their growth and success

Requirements

  • MCEM or equivalent qualification
  • Fully registered with the General Medical Council
  • Experience in emergency medicine, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
