Clinical Cancer Care Specialist

The NHS is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Cancer Care Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team in the Radiotherapy department at The Christie Hospital.

This Band 7 position offers flexible working hours, including part-time options, with routine hours from 8:00-20:00 Monday-Friday. Candidates must be already registered with the HCPC/NMC.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate continuity of care for radiotherapy patients, ensuring they know who to access for information and advice.
  • Act as a coordinator and provide care for acutely unwell patients requiring admission within scope of practice.
  • Work independently as a non-medical prescriber once qualification is achieved.
  • Support patients with further management provided by the Review teams during attendance.
  • Educate and provide exceptional standards of care for patients undergoing or recently completed radiotherapy treatment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • HCPC or NMC Registration
  • Ability to work towards Non medical prescribing qualification and clinical skills
  • Evidence of expertise in Cancer Care and radiotherapy

Salary

£46,148 to £52,809 per annum, pro rata
