Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated podiatrist to join our team at the English Diabetic Footcare Network, providing a range of podiatric care services across London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and planning individual patient care, working autonomously and collaboratively with our wider team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

We are seeking a podiatrist with a strong knowledge of current evidence-based practice and the ability to apply this effectively in a clinical setting. A drive to continuously improve skills and expand expertise is essential for this role. Our team delivers patient care in a variety of clinical and community settings, with a focus on medically at-risk patients and those with high podiatric needs.

As a podiatrist with our team, you will be involved in nail surgery sessions, high-risk clinics, and have the opportunity to rotate through our foot protection team and musculoskeletal clinics. You will work closely with experienced podiatrists and be encouraged to develop your professional skills through regular 1:1 meetings, clinical supervision, in-house continuing professional development (CPD), and ongoing training.

We welcome newly qualified podiatrists to apply for this role. To be successful, you will require a degree or diploma in podiatric medicine and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Main Duties of the Job
  • Work as an integral member of our podiatry team to deliver high-quality programs of podiatric care to patients who have an assessed need.
  • Provide treatment at various sites, including patients' homes, clinics, hospitals, and other locations, often working independently.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team and serve as a source of advice to patients, carers, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a specific clinic location, working as a lone practitioner in some cases.
