Ambition is a leading firm in the East Anglia region, seeking an experienced Audit Manager Position to join their Cambridge office.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to work with a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large international groups. The ideal candidate will have 3 years' experience working in audit in the UK and be able to develop detailed audit plans, lead fieldwork execution, and review financial statements.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Audit Planning: Develop detailed audit plans for each client, including scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Fieldwork Execution: Lead audit fieldwork, testing financial records, evaluating internal controls, and gathering evidence.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Review and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify key areas of risk within client operations.
  • Team Supervision: Manage and mentor junior audit staff, reviewing their work, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries, and providing regular updates on audit progress.
  • Audit Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports, summarising findings, and presenting them to client management and stakeholders.

The salary for this position is estimated at £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include private medical, health cash plan, death in service, cycle to work, dress for your day, contributory pension, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, and sick pay.
