Job Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Workstation and Workplace Assessors to join our growing Musculoskeletal department. This is a hybrid role requiring professionals who can work part-time (minimum of 3 days/22.5 hours per week) or full-time, based in Scotland, particularly Glasgow/Edinburgh regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering workstation and workplace assessments remotely via video consultation and face-to-face at client sites across Glasgow/Edinburgh.
  • Providing accurate assessment reports with recommendations and submitting them in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with Management to provide reports following assessments.
  • Identifying hazards within workplaces and assessing their risk to musculoskeletal ill health.
  • Conducting ergonomic risk assessments to identify risks affecting employees in specified areas.
  • Sharing information regarding work practice changes required on short- or long-term basis with team members.
  • Collecting statistical data for report generation.
  • Contributing to and running health promotion events.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A health-related degree or qualifications with WSA/WPA experience.
  • Minimum 2 years WSA/WPA experience.
  • Ideal candidates have minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience.
  • A valid full driving license and access to a car for frequent travel to client sites.
  • Postgraduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics is desirable.
  • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or an Ergonomic professional organisation is desirable.

Salary

This competitive role offers a salary between £36,000 to £40,000 FTE (pro-rata to hours worked), dependent on qualifications and experience.
