The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group HSEQ Manager to lead our Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) team, playing a critical role in improving HSE performance across the Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for all aspects of HSEQ management, including implementing strategic plans, fostering a strong HSEQ culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility across the Group
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for HSEQ activities to drive business improvement
  • Ensure compliance with ESG policy and framework through reporting and adherence
  • Maintain Group HSEQ management systems and ensure adherence across all Group companies
  • Manage the HSEQ team, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing remedial actions
  • Partner with staff to implement Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Systems
  • Oversee supplier and contractor vetting and management for compliance with legislation and group policies
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to CDM 2015 and construction projects
  • Establish and work with company HSEQ committees to engage staff in HSEQ matters
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest HSEQ legislation and practices, leading internal promotional and awareness-raising activities
  • Communicate HSEQ lessons learned across the Group
  • Assist in identifying training needs, promoting training programs, and conducting audits
  • Oversee the setup, compliance, and maintenance of integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
Requirements
  • Occupational health and safety or environmental qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate, IEMA Certificate)
  • Full Driving Licence for regular travel to AMP sites across the UK
  • Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and/or environmental legislation and understanding of HSE ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
  • Project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and delivering under tight deadlines
  • Ability to influence change at all levels of the organization and analyze complex technical issues
  • Experience in managing budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Professional stakeholder management skills to drive business collaboration and build a high-performing safety culture
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
