About the Role

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Cardiology Interventional Fellow. This is a unique opportunity for a trainee to gain comprehensive training in advanced intervention and develop expertise in both coronary and structural intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direct supervision of experienced interventional cardiologists to gain broad exposure to complex cardiac interventions.
  • Undertake procedures in the lab (4-6 sessions per week) and participate in out-patient clinics (1 session per week).
  • Have the opportunity to join the registrar on-call rota, dependent on experience and interests.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • GMC registration.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • Evidence of higher specialist training in cardiology.
  • Clear, fluent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Experience in medical audit.
  • Understanding of the place of research.
