Job Summary

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Cardiology Interventional Fellow. This is a 12-month fellowship program that offers comprehensive training in advanced intervention, with the possibility of training in both coronary and structural intervention for suitably qualified candidates.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of experienced interventional cardiologists and will be expected to participate in 1 outpatient session per week within the Cardiology service. Attendance at a minimum of 4/5 laboratory sessions a week is anticipated, where training will be given in cardiac intervention. The fellow will also participate fully in the training program of the department and will have protected time for teaching, research, and audit.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology, with evidence of higher specialist training in the field. They will also have excellent communication and relationship skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
