About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Helpline Adviser at Victim Support. As a key member of our National Contact Centre team, you will provide critical support to victims of crime, working across multiple services and priorities.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, who can empathise with people in difficult situations. You will need to have knowledge of relevant agencies and resources, as well as an understanding of diversity issues and confidentiality practices.
The estimated salary for this role is around £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 28 days annual leave, pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support, information and referral to victims of crime
- Work across multiple services, prioritising competing demands and managing complex workloads
- Communicate effectively and sensitively handle emotionally charged situations
