About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Valuations Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Valuation Team, you will be responsible for leading engagements from start to finish, providing expert advice on financial reporting purposes, intangible assets, and purchase price allocations.

Your expertise will be invaluable in advising clients on impairment issues, portfolio company/asset valuations, financial instruments, and related fair value matters. You will also be expected to support the development of new opportunities and maintain the firm's high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert valuation advice on financial reporting purposes, intangible assets, and purchase price allocations.
  • Lead engagements from start to finish, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Advise clients on impairment issues, portfolio company/asset valuations, financial instruments, and related fair value matters.
  • Support the development of new opportunities and maintain the firm's high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Strong grounding in valuations, ideally gained from another professional services firm.
  • Proficiency in a range of valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow, multiples analysis, options and other derivatives pricing, and intangible asset valuation techniques.
  • Adept ability to interpret financial statements in the context of valuations.
  • Strong business writing, analytical, and Excel modelling skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent academic background, including a professional qualification in accountancy or a related financial discipline (e.g. ACA or CFA).
