SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing educational environment at ClassRoom Support.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with SEN/SEMH and will be committed to creating an inclusive and empowering learning experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN/SEMH, ensuring their individual needs are met in the classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement personalized learning plans and behavior management strategies for students with SEN.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for students, promoting social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals involved in the students' care to ensure a holistic approach to their education and wellbeing.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with ASD and/or ADHD is essential.
  • Strong understanding of SEN support strategies and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Relevant certifications or training in the field of Special Educational Needs is desirable.
Day-to-Day:
  • Provide individualized support to students during lessons, ensuring they are able to engage and participate fully.
  • Collaborate with teachers to facilitate the inclusion of students in all aspects of school life.
  • Monitor and record student progress, and contribute to the review and development of their individual support plans.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting respect and understanding among all students.
